Welcome to JT Hughes Shrewsbury, and we're looking at the Santa Fe. What I'm going to show you now is the function of the smart key. Basically what this allows you to do is have keyless entry, and also keyless ignition for the car. You can still use the buttons, lock, unlock, and if you hold that one it'll release the boot. No need to do that though. As long as the key is in your pocket, all you need to do is press the black button on the door handle to open the door. And to start the car up, all you need to do is put your foot on the brake or the clutch if it's a manual, press the button, and that'll start the car up.
In relation to the smart key, if for any reason, the battery were to go flat on it, you press the small button there. You still have a traditional key to use.
