Hi and welcome to JT Hughes Hyundai in Shrewsbury. My name is Rob. Today I'm going to show you how to pair your phone to a Hyundai i10. The phone I'm particularly using is my own, which is an iPhone. However, you can use other mobile devices. You can check the compatibility of your phone at Hyundai's website. So first of all then what we do is on your phone, we're go into settings and turn the Bluetooth on. The phone will then start to search for devices. On the car, what we do is ensure that the radio is turned on. You can turn the volume down if you wish. Go into setup and then using the knob to the right, move it across the phone, press it in. As you can see, a little menu comes up there so we choose the pair phone option. Press that, add a new device and press yes. So, as you can see it comes up device i10 and the pass code, which that appears as you can see on my phone here. We will just highlight that.
It should pair for a moment. There we go asking for the pass code which is four zeros and press pair. There we go. That's coming up connected, as you can see, coming up pairing complete on the dash there.
Next, what we're going to do is just check to see if the contacts, etc. have been downloaded. So go into the phone, as you can see it's got history, phone book. Again, use the knob there and turn it to phone book. The phone is saying it is empty, download again and press yes, and as you can see it's now downloading all of my contacts. So when someone calls me, again it will come up on the dash who's calling so I can choose whether or not I wish to speak to them. But also you can voice call through this system as well. There you go. It may take a few minutes depending on how many contacts you've got. There we go, download complete. Fantastic! So again what I'm going to do now is go back to call history and again asking did you download call history, yes. That will just downloaded the recent history on there. That's all complete. So there we go.
That's all the phone and the phone book and everything all paired to the phone. Okay. So your phone is all connected now so it's nice and easy to use. If you're driving along, obviously with your radio on, if someone calls you, then the number comes up on the screen. To take that call, you press the green button. If you don't want to speak to them, then press the red one. To make a call, you've got the button here, the voice call, so you can tell the car who you wish to call. Then again it will call it to through your mobile device. There we have it. Nice and easy when you know how. I hope this video has been useful. Again, if you wish to view this, then please check the JT Hughes Hyundai website. Thanks again.
