If your car has a stop/start function, there may be certain situations where it won’t activate. This is normal and is often because the car's on-board computer keeps the engine running for better efficiency.

Situations where stop/start may not activate are:

1. If your car hasn’t been driven regularly and has low battery charge. A drive of at least half an hour should boost your car’s battery
2. When the engine becomes cold
3. When the battery is under heavy load, especially in winter
4. If you have any concerns at all, call the JT Hughes dealership that is listed on your order form
