With low emissions, some of the new Ecomotive Ibiza range are exempt from road fund tax. That’s right zero, nada, nothing, not a penny - as in TOTALLY FREE FROM ROAD TAX. Why? Well, from this year, Road Fund Tax falls into one of seven bands based on CO2 emissions. Band A is zero rated. Now I bet you’re thinking that only golf buggies and milk floats would qualify for this, but the new Ibiza Ecomotive sets a new benchmark for ecologically-friendly cars by reducing CO2 emissions below the crucial 100g/km to qualify for Band A.
The Ibiza Ecomotive sets a new benchmark for ecologically friendly cars by reducing the CO2 emissions to a minimum. The 1.4 TDI 80PS features a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) that helps reduce emissions (including CO2) down to 99 g/km and offers a remarkable fuel economy of 74.3 mpg on the combined cycle with a top speed of 109 mph. The result is a clean, fast response in acceleration and responsible power management.
Likewise, the weight of the Ibiza Ecomotive has also been reduced from 1,106 Kg to 1,084 Kg and the aerodynamics have also been modified. However, the levels of comfort and safety have not been compromised. The Ibiza Ecomotive comes with air conditioning, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), 3 height-adjustable rear headrests, passenger airbag disconnection, central power lock and power front windows all as standard. Also available is optional Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), curtain airbags and cruise control, among others.
All this is achieved without surpassing the maximum weight permitted to set the emissions levels of the Ibiza Ecomotive at a crucial 99 g/km. Luckily, being eco-friendly no longer means compromising on excitement, power, sportiness and competitive spirit. Discover our Ecomotive models - lowering emissions not emotions.
