Prior to the open day, JT Hughes ran a competition to win a new Hyundai through its Facebook page. Over 1,000 Facebook fans joined in; far surpassing its goal of 500 Facebook fans.
The winner who was present at the dealership was Paul Smith from Priorslee. Paul had answered a number of competition questions set by JT Hughes on their Facebook page and was invited down with other entrants to the dealership.
Speaking to Chris Pritchard from shropshirelive.com, Paul said: "I can’t believe I have won a brand new car, I was made redundant a few months ago and have just started entering competitions as a hobby.
"To be the winner of this brand new Hyundai from JT Hughes is incredible, I never imagined I could have won such a great prize."
The dealership launch proved popular with viewers on Facebook as Paul Shuttleworth presented live from the Stafford Park dealership informing viewers of the latest Hyundai vehicles available, offers and promotions at JT Hughes.
JT Hughes’ Shrewsbury based advertising agency, Positive Advertising, conceived and planned the event. Positive Advertising Director, Nick Spiteri, said: "The Hyundai launch is the culmination of months of preparatory build-up, driven by Facebook, with a ‘Win a Hyundai’ competition at its heart. JT Hughes is a long-standing client and they had the confidence to go with our idea of using social media, and Facebook live web streaming, for this major launch. I believe this is a first for Shropshire."
Shropshire video production company 7Video provided the production for the live broadcast whilst Charles Denscombe of Shrewsbury based MicroVideo, and leading web technologies provider Webcraft of Malta, were responsible for hosting the live web stream.
Hyundai chose JT Hughes, as a franchise partner, because of their proven strengths in sales, their commitment to customer service and for their use of innovative marketing.
